Hello and welcome to York Boxing Club. Within this website you will find all information, advice, inspiration on joining our amateur boxing club.

Whether you are looking to get fit, build confidence, meet new friends, take the popular GB boxing tutor awards or have aspirations of becoming a boxer, we hope the site will help you find a little more about us.

York Boxing Club's roots where born in a spit and sawdust club in 1967 in North St York but through time we have increased our facilities and become a very popular community centre in the York area.

Our development into education, created OFF THE HOOK. Becoming a registered ASDAN centre of learning and delivering CoPE and AoPE qualifications to GCSE E levels. We are extremely proud as an accredited Alternative Learning Provision (ALPS) for City of York Council.

In our community centre we have a fully equipped Band Rehearsal Studio which is hired out to local bands

All our facilities can be hired to anyone requiring rooms to work on projects which will help, encourage and engage young people in our community to develop activities within York City at a subsidised rate.

In 2010, we will be expanding and complimenting our facilities by developing a centre for other fighting disciplines. Including MMA, K1, Muay Thai boxing, Kick-boxing, Tricking, (a form of martial arts mixed with gymnastics) and female only fitness classes. The centre will be fully equipped and have cage and boxing rings.
